"Full Disk Access Required" keeps appearing
DCP Transfer needs Full Disk Access to write to EXT2 drives. If the prompt keeps coming back after you've granted it, macOS usually has only one of the two components approved, or it's holding on to a stale entry from an earlier install.
Fix
- Quit DCP Transfer.
- Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Full Disk Access.
- Find DCP Transfer and Paragon ExtFS (listed as extFS or com.paragon-software.extfsd). Turn both on.
- If either one is already on, select it, click − to remove it, then click + and add it again from the Applications folder. This clears a stale entry left by an older version.
- Restart the Mac and open DCP Transfer.
If the prompt still won't go away
Older versions of DCP Transfer (before 1.4) could show this prompt even when access had been granted correctly. Install the latest version from the DCP Transfer Help page, following Reinstalling DCP Transfer cleanly, then repeat the steps above.
